Image Restore AI - 1.17.0 is a major update that includes new features, new & upgraded models, and significant performance improvements.
AI Models
Upgraded to version 1.7.0.
New sharpen models: Repair defocus and motion blur on affected images.
All models refined to improve image quality, fidelity, and accuracy.
All models have been extensively validated, to ensure artifact-free, faithful color reproduction & textures.
AI Engine
Improved pipeline for memory efficiency and performance.
Application
Re-organised application settings to improve user experience and accessibility.
Certain setting options have been updated and may require re-configuration after the update.
Updated core components to recent versions.
User Interface (UI)
Updated monitoring scopes to improve accuracy & precision.
Applying superscale models no longer resets the zoom level for a smoother user experience.
Added a new reset button on image thumbnails, to quickly reset all edits applied to the image.
New Information page: Displays useful key-binding shortcuts and system information.
New Image overview panel: When hovering over image thumbnails, a small preview will now display all applied operations to the image, as a quick overview.
Lens Distortion Correction
Significantly upgraded correction logic, to improve structure accuracy & precision.
Extended support for a wider range of lenses and distortion types.
Resolved an issue where certain lenses were not correctly identified.
