Image Restore AI - 1.18.0 is a major update that includes new features, optimizations and upgraded models.
AI Models
Upgraded to version 1.8.0.
New Overdrive Slider: User-configurable model output. Low values keep the model faithful to the source image, while higher values allow greater creative freedom. Useful when residual artifacts persist in images.
Upgraded Sharpen models: Significant stability and quality improvements.
All models refined with optimized datasets to improve image quality, fidelity, and accuracy.
AI Engine
30% faster thanks to significant improvements in model inference flow.
Batch Processing
Now has a dedicated page for a better user experience.
Can now generate a detailed report.txt file so users can easily track edited images.
Fixed an intermittent macOS issue that could cause the process to fail.
File Handling
IRAI now fully supports JPEG XL (JXL) image encoding/decoding.
New Export Option: JXL - Optimized, to export images in the modern JPEG XL format with lossless compression.
DNG exporting: Multiple improvements for color accuracy and third-party support.
